Limited Member access allows you to invite external clients or customers to specific rooms without having to extend access to your entire workspace. Limited Members are only able to access rooms where they were explicitly invited. There they have access to the same features as all other room members (shared browsers, stickies, file upload and download, etc). Like Members, Limited Members can pop into their room whenever they want, allowing for both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.
Tips and tricks for creating customer facing rooms:
1. Create a private room for each of your customers/clients. Make sure to name the room something that will be easy for you and customers to identify.
2. Before inviting any Limited Members, take a couple of minutes to customize rooms by adding a customer specific background images, uploading any files you would like to share or opening shared browsers with relevant shared documents.
3. When you are ready to invite Limited Members to their designated room, navigate to the Members icon in the bottom right corner of your room toolbar, toggle to the “Members” tab within that menu and click “Add Someone”. At the bottom of the menu, click “invite someone by email” which will allow you to enter one or multiple email addresses.
4. Last but not least, don’t forget to update any calendar invites to include room link so your customer can easily navigate to their designated Switchboard room directly from their calendar.
