1:1s are a great place to quickly connect with another member in your workspace. They work like a private room for any two members.
How do I add or remove a 1:1?
To start a new conversation, click on the "+" next to 1:1s just below the Rooms section on the left. Then search for the person you want to create a room with. Once the room is created you can click on their name in the 1:1s section to jump in.
You can remove a 1:1 room from your sidebar by hovering over the other person's name, and clicking on the "x" . This removes it from your view (not theirs) but you can always click the "+" button to search for their name and find your 1:1 room again.
How should I use a 1:1?
Need to pull someone in quickly to a conversation you're having in a 1:1? Not a problem. You can still invite anyone as a temporary guest by sending them the URL to the room.
1:1s work great for people you regularly meet with since you can add sticky notes with things you want to discuss in the next meeting. You can also add browsers to keep open the tools you use to track their goals progress on projects.
They are also convenient for ad-hoc conversations since you don't need to spin up a new video call and share links to join. Instead, you can meet them in your 1:1 and start working in the shared browsers right away.
