Shared content panel

First up is the new shared content panel that opens on the right side when you enter the room. This is where you can find all of the open content in the room.

Click on any section or app to hop to that app in the room. Navigating between things has never been easier!

You can even access the app's menu right from the content panel. 

The shared content panel is also where recently closed content goes for quick retrieval. Just click on the app you want to restore from the "recents" section to add it back to the room. 

You can toggle the shared content panel open and closed by clicking on the icon in the top right corner. 

TIP: The left panel with your list of rooms now closes by default when you enter a room. Use the same icon in the top left to toggle it open again. 

New navigation

The new top bar is where you'll find the room settings (left) and invite button (right). It is also home to the buttons for opening and closing the left and right panels. 

The bottom bar has been streamlined quite a bit. It now has....

New ways to add apps

The green "+" button in the bottom left is home to all of the apps you can add to your rooms, like browsers and sticky notes. 

You can right click on an empty space in the room to add apps too! 

We've included the app name with the icon as we get ready to add even more apps. 

New Apps

Sections

Sections let you easily organize your room.  Drag and drop apps to add them into each section. Then drag them back out to remove them. You can drag a corner to resize, and click on the top left to change the section's name or color. 

Dragging a section around the room will move all of the apps inside of it too. 

Tip: Closing a section also closes any apps inside, so be sure to drag out any apps you want to keep before closing. 

Whiteboard

The tldraw whiteboard is a great app for sketching out ideas together inside Switchboard. Show off your latest creation, or invite others to open their own view and start adding their touches - all without leaving the room.

You can use the app's menu in the top right corner to copy the link directly to tldraw and share your whiteboard outside of Switchboard as well. 

A/V Improvements 

The video gallery now has one place for all of the adjustments. The 3 dot menu next to the gallery is where you can update the placement, settings, and size for your view. We've also added an XS size so you can focus even more on what's in the room.
